Kicked off the new year with an omakase dinner, and honestly? It hit different this time.

There's something nice about just sitting down and letting the chef decide everything. No menu, no decisions. You just show up and enjoy what comes.

Each piece came out one at a time. I noticed things I usually miss—the warm rice, how the fish melted, the little details. It's the kind of meal that makes you put your phone away without thinking about it.
Sitting at that counter, I kept thinking: maybe I should approach more things this way. Less planning, more trusting. More being present for whatever happens.
Solid start to the year.
